wow. those are fry? they look pretty big!

You take great pics Debi and that's the first butterfly koi I've ever seen. I love the colouration, it looks kinda chocolate.

The fry look pretty good too.

good pics, i have never seen baby shubies before. In the butterfly koi pic, was that an oranda in the picture? He is big, how many inches?

Some of the babies are a tiny bit over an inch and the rest are smaller. I've got one that isn't even a 1/4 of an inch. I figure there are bwetween 24 and 36 of them.

Yes, that was my Calico Oranda. That one and my Panda Oranda are about 7 inches.

My kids named the Butterfly Koi Bullet. He is a silvery brown. Very pretty. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to find him (and how cheap he was).

the fry look like they've been eating well. I'd say a few weeks old at least. WOW they've grown fast. Great pics by the way, those fry are hard to get pictures of.

Sweet Deb! A few more weeks and you should start seeing some color hopefully! I agree with Scott, there a couple of weeks old, new borns are only eyeballs swimming round,lol! I had the opportunity to see some last August in a tank up at the dealers. Amazing how something so darn tiny can get so darn large!
Some will grow faster then others. I look forword to more pics as they grow and color!



Fishmerized???? This is the first Butterfly Koi you've seen? *gasp* I just bought two new ones I posted up in here, Shushui.... But allmost all my koi are butterfly's.... I have two youngsters who are not, though there mother is.

Thanks Scott. They are eating well. You should see how many pictures I had to delete off my computer trying to find a few that you could actually see they fry. They are quick little suckers.
