That is a nice size pond. 22 fish is an aweful lot of fish for that size pond though. I have 17 koi in my pond which is 4,000 gallons and I would be better off to get rid of two fish. BUT that doesn't mean that you cannot handle 22 fish in your pond or possibly more. With the right pump and filteration you certainly can.

So here is my question, have you been testing your water? You should be testing for Nitrites, Ammonia, pH, Salt, kh, and oxygen. Doing these test should give you some idea as to how the filteration is working with the fish load, plus the oxygen test will tell you if you are getting good oxygen saturation from what the pump is doing. As you probably know the more oxygen you can get into the water the healthier your system is going to be. And this would be one reason you get a larger pump or another pump to help out.

IMHO no 2400 gph pump is not going to do it. Generally these pumps are sold telling us that they can do 2400 gph when in a lot of cases they really don't do what they claim . I would say you should at least be turning your water over once per hour, which would mean a pump over 3000 gph.
