I say the way you care for the fish is the biggest factor of having them to grow, no stress, no overcrowdiness, and no over feeding will help the fish be larger then life

I variety is very good for a goldfishes diet. I would only give the blood worms as a treat, once or twice a week, and feed pee's twice a week. They love um, and their good for um. You can also feed the orange slices!
