According to the description, they can be freshwater too but they won't reproduce in freshwater.

I thought that Nerites were brackish. Don't quote me on that but that's just what I remembered.

The guy selling them keep his in freshwater,but he says that they can be acclimated to the Braskish Tanks.I guess those guys are kind of like Molly's in that sense.Mollies are fresh water that can be acclimated into total Saltwater from what I've read. I guess the whole trick is in doing it slowly so all has time to adjust to the change.By the way Erika, They are really cool snails!!! If I were you, I'd get them for sure! Best part is that they won't Mass-Produce!!! Hey...send me one!
