They are gorgeous!!

I try to stay away from there because I want them all! But every now and again, I go look anyway. It's torture, I know!

As requested: They are beautiful but you shouldn't buy them.
They're gorgeous! I just recently saw some crowntail bettas at a LFS, and really want one; after I get my goldfish tanks straightened out I can get one. Are you planning on getting one or two after you get your goldfish tank?

Yah I want to get one for my tetra tank. I was planning on getting a little female from petsmart so if there are problems with them getting along I can return/swap her back (sadly

) I MUST stay with the plan! If something doesn't go right I won't know what to do...except mabe buy a large bowl or something

NO! My new goldie tank is going to cost over 200 dollars and i don't even have that money

Hey Kissy, now that you have the goldy, tank, you can spend that remaining $120 on a betta!

Yah I've had a couple bettas when I was younger but didn't think too much of them cuz they just sat at the bottom of the bowl...this was all cuz I didn't know anything about fish and thought they breathed water

Now I really love bettas and want to give them another shot! Don't tempt me Roano! I need to save save save! I think I've only got about 60 bucks left anyways

Maybe if I get a job before I pick one out...just maybe! AHHH I have to get a job now before the bid ends!!!!! X_X I like THOSe fish ._. Look what you went and did to me!

Sorry about that. I'm on a low budget too, and have about $12; it's going to be a long time saving for that 55 gal for me!
I used to have a betta when I was younger too, lived in a 3 or 2 gal vase; of course filled up to the neck because I thought more water is better for him. Glad I know better now, and want to try again after I get restricted from tanks for goldfish!

Roano, did you take that personally? Sorry I didn't mean to if you did, I was only joking around

I love aquabid! I got my snails off there, and when I move and start breeding bettas...
You bet! Some of those bad boys will be mine! And if I breed them right, you can each have a free betta! Of course...knowing me...I will screw SOMETHING up.

Oooo I'm interested in a free betta! Is this a real offer or are you just teasing my need for fish?
Chishower
Jun 26 2005, 04:09 PM
Its a real offer if I can figure this whole spawning thing out. I am trying it on veiltails at the moment, and the male refuses to blow the bubble nest. The female is ready, and she keeps looking him like "Hey! You there! Whats taking you so long!"
And then its all the feeding and the caring...betta fry are tiiiiiny.
But! When I get my good bettas, and a batch of fry, and raise em up right, then its bettas all around. I owe you guys as much.

"And if I breed them right, you can each have a free betta!"
I can't argue with that...

Now the only question that remains is...
Can she do it?
I figure I move in a month, get the bettas in two-three months once I get settled in and get tanks. Fry are old enough to show color at..two months? So its gonna take awhile.
And thats if everything goes right.
