Hey everyone!!! I had such an awsome day today!!!!!!!!
I wolk up early, and went to the pond shop to get all the stuff to start my pond. There was a starter kit I wanted for a 750 gallon pond, but they had sold their last one, and only had ones for 250 gallon ponds. So, I ended up getting one of the pre formed ponds, and bought the biggest one they had. And it was HUGE. i dont even know how I got it in the truck!! Its over 650 gallons, but im not positive on the exact gallonage (is that even a word... LOL). Anyways, got a nice filter, some under water lights, and some pumps so I can make my water fall. I got home, and we started digging out the hole for the liner. It had been sunny all afternoon entil we started digging, and then it was just pouring outside, but we dug anyways. Took us a good three hours to get it dug out, and put it in place. Filled it with water, and all that good stuff, and put river rocks all around the edges, and planted some really pretty flowers and vines all around it. Im soooo excited. We're not even close to being completed with everything, but im SOOOO excited about it, I just had to share the good news!!!

Hey everyone!!
I had another long day of working on the pond. Im enjoying myself soooo much. Today I got the filter all set up and running, and got my water fall all set up, and its all finally hooked up and running. I got some nice rocks for the bottom for future plants I plan on putting in it. I also went out and bought some more plants, mainly ground covering plants with will grow over top of the river rocks around the pond. I bought a bunch of them... LOL.. then had to move alot of the river rocks I laid down yesturday, and plant a ton more plants... i didnt even get half of them done, but its really coming along. Its sooo exciting. I cant wait to show everyone! My sister still has the digital camera, but shes coming down on friday, so i will take pictures first thing! Also need to take pictures of my small pond. Well, I moved the under water lights since i got the water fall working, and it looks awsome. Its coming along soo well...
LOL, ive had this all planned out for along time, and ive went step by step... if you didnt, you could have a big mess on your hands!! LOL... i couldnt imagine the mess that it could cause.

Thats alot of fishies, but I dont think I will be putting that much in there. I want them to have alot of extra space to grow nice and big. Im thinking 4 koi and 5 comet goldies, and thats about it. They will fill it up real nice when they get big.

Just looked at the pictures you put up of your fish tank. It's beautiful! How come I can't seem to make my tank took that good? I need a different filter or something.

Thanks soo much. It took alot of work to get it to look like that, but im pretty pleased with it. Im running two aquaclear filters on it, and they are working wonderfully. Im suprised all of my plants are doing so well! When i first got them my goldies kept eating them, but now they dont mess with um. I found that getting a better light, was the key to success for my tank. I went out and bought a really nice cora life lighting system, the ones that leave your tank open on top, and brakcets hold it up. I also use florapride fertilizer on it. Ever since i got the new lights, my plants wont stop growing, and I have new babies sprouting every week off my amazons!! I have so many now, I dont know what to do with them. Right now their in a rubber maid, because i had to treat for ck, and didnt want the salt killing my plants. But they will be back in there by next week!
