Hi There Chubaka!

Goldfish can live over two weeks without food, that's not to say you should go and starve them for two weeks of course! heartpump.gif But if it's just for a week, I'm sure they will be okay. If you feel uncomfortable about it, is there someone you could trust to feed (and not OVERfeed) you fish? If not if it's only for a week I would feel peace about it. Just stay away from those automatic feeders you can buy at your local fish store...they can either jam, and end up not feeding them at all, OR even worse, just dump all of the food in and your goldie, being the piggies they are by nature, will eat till they burst! That's my two cents, maybe someone else will have a good idea too! Good Luck and have fun in Arkansas!

i say you should get your nextdoor neighbour or something to feed your goldie

ya know those little pill boxes that say mon. teus. wed. ect?
get one of the, put a little bit of food in it (less then you normally feed) and ge them to dump it in on that day.
Marco
yea that would work fine biggrin.gif

Last time we went away I measured the food into daily doses and wrapped each one in foil. Foolproof, so long as they remember to feed him. wink.gif

I really don't trust other people with my fish dry.gif If I were you I'd leave them without someone feeding them...It's just a week...Don't worry smile.gif

Here is a suggestion--you could get some anacharis (water plant) and then your fish could nibble on it while you are gone.

But be sure to disinfect the plants before adding them to your tank--you don't want to add parasites from the lfs. Use some bleach water--1 part bleach to 9 parts water and swish the plant around. Then rinse and rinse and in a final rinse use some water conditioner. It will get rid of the remaining bleach (which is chlorine).
