ohmy.gif After gravel cleaning/siphoning i refilled the aquarium using 'stress coat' as my dechlorinator. then i spent about 10-15 mins getting out floating debris/missed poop with my turkey baster, as usual (i love that thing!). I noticed that the bubble wall was producing bubbles at the surface that were kinda foamy-ish or soapy-ish and they weren't popping quickly. the goldfish were trying to eat the bubbles. i didn't have this before the water change. should i be worried? for now i've turned the bubble wall off.

When ever you put medication or other stuff into the tank, it will become foamy and the bubbles will be smaller, this is normal, just use the recommended dosage and you will be alright. For example, melafix does the same thing, it makes the top of the tank filled with bubbles that won't go away. So nothing to worry about. exactly.gif

I'm pretty sure it is your declhorinator, did you use what it said on the bottle?
Fishmerised
Ditto. Water conditioner can make frothy bubbles but they usually go away after a while.

it's just odd b/c i've never noticed it before. i used the recommended amount. i was just worried that the bubbles wouldn't allow enough O2 transfer between the surface of the water. could also be since i use to use jungle labs start right dechlorinator. thanks smile.gif
