ive never experienced this; does anyone have the 'stages' of it? like, coloration, activeness etc?

hmmm im not so sure, but i think they become kinda cloudy looking.
Like when snakes or ADF shed skin.... But someone else could
probably help you better than me. (Im not 100% sure),

nuh uh, it turned a bit pinkish. its dead. gave it to my gf to eat it. my guppy tank; where the shrimps are now is 80F...
...so many the heat killed it? i need to drop ice into the water to cool it....

Sorry about your shrimp, Ya you should be careful with some heaters.
Plus since its summer you should be turning down your heaters alittle.

it doesnt have a heater. lost three shrimpies so far. :| i dont use heaters at all.

I gave up on ghost shrimp

None of mine have ever lived long after they molt *sniff* One did make it almost a week after it molted but didn't look so healthy after it shed it's skin. My last one molted and died the next morning

All of them I've had (except the one that lived almost a week after it molted) were in water that averaged about 75F.
Good luck with your shrimp!

I just loved them, but I don't want to buy anymore since they don't seem to live after molting *sniff*

another one died.

that makes it 4 dead and about 6-7 left. two are pregnant. oh gosh. theyre so hard to keep up! ><!!

heh, i think that just pretty much ignoring them in a bigger tank(with hiding places) is your best bet. mine are still going strong and reproducing from the original 10 or so i bought months and months ago...
theyre fighters there raith....theyll have babies at a rate greater then the deaths
