ive never experienced this; does anyone have the 'stages' of it? like, coloration, activeness etc?
Black oranda
hmmm im not so sure, but i think they become kinda cloudy looking.
Like when snakes or ADF shed skin.... But someone else could
probably help you better than me. (Im not 100% sure),

Raith
im not sure if its dead or molting. its cloudy, but not moving. ;\!
Black oranda
Maybe you should go poke it, or maybe his already finish molting.
Raith
nuh uh, it turned a bit pinkish. its dead. gave it to my gf to eat it. my guppy tank; where the shrimps are now is 80F...
...so many the heat killed it? i need to drop ice into the water to cool it....
Black oranda
sad.gif Sorry about your shrimp, Ya you should be careful with some heaters.
Plus since its summer you should be turning down your heaters alittle.
Raith

I gave up on ghost shrimp sad.gif None of mine have ever lived long after they molt *sniff* One did make it almost a week after it molted but didn't look so healthy after it shed it's skin. My last one molted and died the next morning sad.gif All of them I've had (except the one that lived almost a week after it molted) were in water that averaged about 75F.

Good luck with your shrimp! sad.gif I just loved them, but I don't want to buy anymore since they don't seem to live after molting *sniff*
Raith
another one died. sad.gif

that makes it 4 dead and about 6-7 left. two are pregnant. oh gosh. theyre so hard to keep up! ><!!
Raith
oh my gosh, the brigs are eating the dead shrimps. >:|
Black oranda
sad.gif Maybe water levels?
Raith
sad.gif you mean params? doubtful cause i clean the tank daily with 10% water changes. sad.gif
Raith

heh, i think that just pretty much ignoring them in a bigger tank(with hiding places) is your best bet. mine are still going strong and reproducing from the original 10 or so i bought months and months ago...

theyre fighters there raith....theyll have babies at a rate greater then the deaths smile.gif
Raith
mine are having a great time of having deaths. well. ill release this female back to the 10gal. im still tired. *yawn*
