So I got tired of looking at this dark grey clutch, about to hatch, but taking forever to do so. I've heard of some people "hatching" clutches themselves with a toothpick so I thought I'd try it. I pulled at the top of the first egg, and noticed that the whole clutch was like jello on top, they were hatching anyway!

I took the whole top layer off the clutch, swirled it in some water in a cup, put the clutch (what was left of it) back and dumped the baby snails into a breeder box!!! They're colored already too, which I didn't think they'd be. Naughty's babies were like clear gobs with pink dots in em when they hatched. These guys are already purple, gold, pink? and blue!!!!!!

Congrats! Maybe it's the lighting on the different colored feet or something? Maybe you have incredible eyesight but I couldn't tell my babies' colors until they were about a month old. I could tell which ones were light and which were dark, but past that it was pretty much up to you.

Congrats! Told you they get real mushy(but not gross) when they're ready! How in the world can you see all those color's??? I must be really blind! I can see that some are dark,but actual color's...No Way! Course I live in a cave....or is that under a bridge..???

I thought it was weird to see colors too, but I'm tellin ya, I can. I wonder if my camera would pick it up.... prolly not. I'll try though. Yeah, I have definite pink, purple, gold and wild colors in there. They all have spots too!

I believe you! I 've seen other people say the color's that hatched,I personally can't ever tell.Maybe if I had a bright light,,,I'm old...My eyes are bad!

Yeah Sharon, use the "macro" setting (the little flower) and then get as close as you can and zoom in as far as you can! Hahahaha, I was impressed with it too!

Is there an actual way to "zoom in"? or do you just mean get really close???? Hey,What can I say????I didn't read the directions! Everytime I get really close,the pic is always blurred.

Sharon, read your dern directions silly! To zoom, ya know that long button on the right with the 2 smaller ones on either side? To zoom, push that long button up and down. Use the macro (flower) setting if you're taking a picture of something 3 feet or closer to you. It'll make the pics so much clearer. Oh, and the camera has focus too.... just hold down the buttom without pushing it all the way down and it'll focus for you.

I've been around, just been busy busy busy. It's that time of the year i guess.

Another clutch hatched today. Babies were purple and pink and gold again! Teh babies from teh other clutch are about double the size now too.
