I recently put in a 1200 gallon goldfish pond this year. I am in the Dallas Texas area. I have a great pump with a uv light. Frogs have laid hundreds of eggs and I have hundreds of tadpole babies. Will the goldfish eat them? Do I need to get rid of some of these unwanted inhabitants? Thank you for all your help. Diana

My bigger koi have been known to eat tadpoles, crawfish and small snails. My fancy goldfish don't bother them too much.

rolleyes.gif Makes me cringe for some odd reason..... yeah.gif laugh.gif I think that if the tadpoles are pretty small still, that there's a good chance that some will get eaten.Heck,my Fancy's did in two inch and a half Rubberlips! ohmy.gif The thing about frogs, and tadpoles is that some go away on their own,and alot of other animals eat them too. I'd love for you to post pics of your pond! And by the way,Welcome to Koko's! biggrin.gif

Thanks Sharon for all your advice. I'll try to post some pics. I'm most grateful to this forum. I am quite ignorant when it comes to "the pond", so I have learned. I have lots more to learn.
