I am thinking of putting some fancy male guppies you know the kind with the really pretty tails and I am curious if my betta would live happily along side them? Any ideas? Oh I want to set up a ten gallon for them.

smile.gif Hi Maceo,Welcome to the board! Well, the thing about Betta's,is that they're some very vain fish. They don't like seeing any fish as pretty or prettier than themselves! laugh.gif Seriously though,Betta's are known "nippers" of fins and such on other long flowing finned creatures.I would recommend you to not keep the two together.

Hello, Devs' right. There would be too much nippy fins in that tank, generaly bettas should be kept solitary (females the exception) because they're extremely territorial the guppies are very flashy and seen as a "threat" to the bettas home. Snails are ok with them and keep the tank varied, just alternative suggestions.
