I have a piece of driftwood in my tank and the other day i notice is was growing algae. I know there are different kinds. Its a realy dark green or a brown. I though i heard brown isn't good. I will take a closer look at it. Well on mt driftwood there was a mushroom growing out of it. I picked it off and wondered if it is bad for my fish.

some mushrooms tend to be poisonous, but ive never heard a mushroom grow from driftwood so i dont know. better be safe than sorry.

How long have you had the driftwood? Are you sure its driftwood and not just a piece of wood from outside like a tree or something?

No it is a driftwood. I've had it in there for about a month
