Hey everyone!
Last week when I was re-decorating my room, I broke the stand my fish tank was on. its a 15 gallon. it wasnt acctually a fish tank stand... more of a movie stand... but anyways, now its on a stand meant for a fish tank. Well, it has a spot on the bottom for another 15 gallon tank... so im gonna go get another one..... What should I put in it?? I have tropicals in the top tank, so I want to put tropicals in the bottom tank as well. Any ideas? I have tetras and a puffer in the top tank, so i dont want anymore tetras or puffers. Any other ideas? Has anyone had killifish here? How big do they usually get? Ive always liked gourmis as well. Any ideas on some fish that would go together nicely in this tank would be awsome.

Hey Jessica...I don't know how u feel about the pretty yellow angel fish...I always call them lip fish..looks like they are always giving kisses....

Maybe some clown fish? I always thought they were neat little fish?....just throwin some ideas out to ya......I also like gouramis, I had a couple but they didn't make due to the fact I had no idea what I was doing and I got advice that was wrong on how to care for them......Good luck, sounds like fun!!!

i thought this was a tropical set up you wanted. the fish being suggested are saltwater??
a pair of dwarf gouramis would be ideal and a few corys on the bottom.

OH. I dont want salt water fish... a clown fish would be sure to die.
The angel fish im talkin about would be freshwater angel fish.
The puffers I have are all freshwater puffers. i did have a pair of drawf puffers, but the femal died a few days ago.

I'm sorry I messed up and didn't read the post very well I guess!! DUH!!! Thanks Sandy!! I am spacing today!! lots going on here.....I guess while I am on the subject maybe I should ask what the diffence in water is between a tropical tank and a saltwater tank..I have a good idea about saltwater tanks, I have freinds that all have beutiful tanks but the tropical tanks?? I guess I am bit confused today?? I think I will blame the heat!!!

A tropical tank is a freshwater tank (like the goldfish tank) but it is heated, and sometimes the PH is different then the goldie tanks. Some freshwater fish need brackish water, which is in between a freshwater tank and a saltwater tank. I dont know much about salt water tank, ive never had one... but would love to have one one day. Maybe someone who knows more about saltwaters can chime in.

Its ok froggydella we all make mistakes
angelfish need a deep tank of at least 18 inches for the fins and really for that size tank you could only have one and not much else.
theres also a difference betwen salt and marine but dont ask me as i havent a clue.

I figured angel fish wouldnt be able to go in there. They get pretty big.
a pair of dwarf gouramis, a few tetras and corys would be nice

thanks everyone for all the great advice on what fish to get..... but.... i caved in today, and saw the best panda buttferfly goldies... and ive been wanting one for along long long long time, and have only seen them online, and are kinda pricey when it comes to picking out the exact one you want... but while i was at petsmart, they had one hiding in the way up high tank, with the ryunkins... and i was like OMG... and I had to get him. No room in the 55 gallon, i bought the 15 gallon, and hes in that now....
