What is the process for fertilizing floating plants?

The nitrates in your pond which are produced from your bio filter are a fertilizer. Koi Clay is another good fertilizer that you put in your pond, it also helps make the water clear as well as puts minerals back into the water that the fish need.

I read somewhere a few years ago about placing the plants in a tub with miracle grow in it for a few hours. I was just wondering if anyone else did that.

I've heard of people using miracle grow for them as well, I've never done it. Maybe that's why my water hycenth don't bloom? You can try it to see what happens.
