i have just been given a bag of live bloodworms and i was wondering if they can be kept alive so they breed it would save me alot of money buying frozen bloodworms also what is the red stuff that they come in?

The only places I have ever seen anybody cultivate live bloodworms were on internet sites from China. Its basically a big blop of red wormy things, and they sell them over there on fish shows, just sitting there on a piece of paper. Not my idea of a good looking meal...laugh.gif

Bloodworms are the larve of a misquito like insect, not a hobbiest related thing to grow...

White worms on the other hand....

First of all, thanks for the complements of my fish, I also have two new moors as well...More fan myself exactly.gif

WHite worms are a earthworm like worms that if you get a culture are rether easy to keep, its yet another fish food......the nice thing is that they breed easily in soil so one can keep up a culture almost indefinately and even have more cultures to sell to fish nuts....
