I couldn't believe it this morning when I said hello to my fishies and there were these little bubbles over everything on one half of their tank. Clear with a little white thing inside. But they weren't bubbles!! I have no idea who the parents are; I didn't even know they were old enough. So, I'm gonna try to raise some fry.

I don't expect much succcess but with the advice here, hopefully I'll do well.

my fish spawned a few months ago too. they grow so slowly though its unbelieveable! they are 20 weeks old now and the biggest one is only approaching the 1/2 inch stage! anyway, dont want to put you off!

Those eggs were all failures. Oh well, I didn't expect anything to happen, as it was my first shot at it.

Funny thing is, just yesterday, Spike was laying eggs! I don't know if it was her the first time or not - but there weren't nearly as many and nothing's going to happen with them.

Mine spawned every other day for about 5 weeks, so yes!

I don't think my male, Rich's Fish, knows what to do! He chases her around but doesn't actually do anything else.

sometimes it takes a while for him to actually get her to lay the eggs and then he will do something when you're not watching. thats what mine did, except i spied on them! hahahahaha..... good luck!

Congrats your one of the few that have made eggs, how are the babies?

My fry are about 12 weeks (I think!) old now and they're doing great. They have their own little personalities now and it wont be long before they can go in the tanks with the big fish!
