I just got a betta. This may be a stupid question but how much are you supposed to feed them each day?
Depends on what you have. What are you feeding him?
Live worms - 4 twice a day/ 8 a day
Frozen anything - Sparingly once a day
Freeze dried anything - Sparingly once a day
Pellets - 4 twice a day/ 8 a day
That's just how I go in feeding, but all my bettas eat live worms.

I use the little Hikari Betta Bites and I feed mine 3-4 twice a day. If you have the bigger pieces of betta food, you won't need as much.
I'm feeding Millie betta bite pellets.

eek!! Thanks for that info. My fish is eating twice as much as he should be!
Overfeeding is just really easy to do,especially when the little beggar's have appetite's like Goldies! However,One thing to try an remember,is the fact that Betta's belly's are about the size of their eye.Now take into the consideration that each pellet you feed when wet,expands,and then you start to realize that they really don't need as much as they're begging for!
