I just noticed tonight while inspecting my fish thoroughly (which I try to do at least once a week) that her left eye looks kind of funny. She hasn't been acting out of the normal at all, and her right eye looks fine. But just beneath her left one is a white almost blister looking thing. I know this is strange, but she is really starting to develop her wen, and she is a very multicolored calico. Does popeye always look like that photo that Koko has posted under "diseases"? Because It doesn't go all the way around her eye. Just beneath. Maybe I'm overeacting but I love Freckles to death, and I have already lost three fish to dropsy before. I can't handle it again! cry3.gif

All my levels are normal I check them Bi weekly, and I was about to move them into their new home (a 60 gallon tank with duel Bio Wheel 350 Filters) I am so excited to move them to their bigger house!

Like I said it almost looks like a blister you might get on your foot?!?! Any input?

Much Appreciated!

Popeye will be present with both eyes. If your fish is starting to develop
a wen, this new spot may be old skin that is being shed, like a snake. It
will look like a little white cottony thing. If that's the case it will disapear
in a couple days. But, just to be safe, could you answer the questions in
the big white box at the top of the page. smile.gif Perhaps someone else may
have some insight as well.

Additional: just reread, the spot you are noticing may actually be wen
growing around the cheek area. I've got a couple that look like they
have fat faces, but it's wen growth.

heartpump.gif Thanks PM, that is EXACTLY what it looks like" cottony thing". And it's right on her little cheek! Thank you for alleviating my worries! heartpump.gif
