i will get some pics very soon! i promise!!!
the betta is in a sorta colomn thingy, which has a vase base (if that makes sence?) its about 2 liters.
im gonna do a water change every half week to make sure he has no probs.
Annette - he is bright red! its an absolutely gorgeous colour!!!!!

sorry alice but 2 litres is way too small. you will need to do daily clean outs at that size and the stress that will cause. i know people say they can do well in a gallon but i think they need the same swimming room as any other fish and i wouldnt put my betta into anything smaller than a four gallon.
just my two cents though.

Your betta sounds beautiful Tink. Your vase sounds cool, perhaps it would be a good idea to change a cup of water per day to keep the water fresh. When you do rinse out the vase save half the water, when you've finished cleaning pour the old water back in and top up with clean water. This reduces stress.

Hey Tink,Congrats!!!! Can't wait to see the pics!!!

I'm also thinking that you may need to start looking for a bigger tank.

Seriously ,you have to watch those small container's ,they can get bad faster than you realize. Good luck Hun!

oops. i got the jars off Amy. she kept her bettas i there for quite a few months. i cant get another tank coz the parents have just point blank refused, so it looks like daily water changes.

thanks guys.
