well as you may have seen in my previous post my 2 commons spawned 2 days ago. I come home today and there is a HORIBLE smell coming from my main tank. Its not the fish poo amonia smell but something I've never smelled befor. Has anyone experiaced this if so what does it mean and what should i do? Maybe someone will respond to this unlike my othe post.....

What is the smell like? Mildew? Something putrid? Do you see any eggs left over? Any of the eggs that are opaque or a white solid color are no good and need to be removed. Look around in the tank for any hiding places, any plants, anything where eggs could be that you may not have thought of. The bad eggs need to be removed from both tanks so they don't infect or harm the other eggs.

the smell is like... i dont know kind of moldy smell, oh yeah i got home today and put the 2 fish in a 35g because the water all of the sudden got so cloudy i couldnt even see my fish.

thats not good! all i can suggest is give the tank a really thorough clean out.

I suppose the smell is normal. I was reading up on breeding and I read on this one website that there would be a smell to it that it would be a smelly situation...so I think everything is normal...but i've never actually bred any though.
