Just a quick thought i know with my goldies i use aquarium salt but is it okay to use with bettas and how much do you use? it says 1/2 teaspoon/gal for goldies but what if i want to use it for betta?

It's alright with them, at least to say, for mine. Just use the gages on the directions to measure out the proper amounts, but then, you might want to reduce it by 1/3.

I dose .05% which is half the recommended maintenance dose for goldies. The dose is so small it probabley doesn't do much but the bettas like it, they seem to taste it when I change the water.

my males tail got chewed so i added 1 level teaspoon per gallon and he has been fine with it.
