Googles I am sorry you are having problems. I have no idea what to do, except wait and see how things go. These female fish of ours give us hard times don't they?
Even though your situation is a emergency I am going to move it to the Tropicals section, our mods and members that are famaliar with trop fish will check there first before moving on to the rest of the board.
While I think it may take a little while before someone sees, it has a bettter chance in that area with someone who knows Tropicals.
I do hope everything goes ok.

i thought they gave birth head first or they came out in a ball, so i'm not really sure why this one is stuck. i cant even offer you a solution as i have never come across this before and i think gently pulling it out may be your only option
i hope someone can help you though.
if you try and lift her out then maybe the shock of getting caught may make her push it out. has she already had some young or is this the first one?

FINALLY it came out-and it lived. this was like the third or forth one, but i am worried that she maybe too stressed to have the rest of the batch.

That is good news. I hope that the others will be ok too. She sounds like a very strong fish.

I once had a guppy that took forever to have one of her young, but all turned out well in the end. I am glad that every thing worked out for your platy, too.
Congratulations on the fry!
