walmart sells blue giftwrap for about $2.50 that looks great for a background, cheaper than those sold at your LFS. great for someone looking for a cheap diy background

I did a similar thing except I went even cheaper. $1.87 for a pack of construction paper from Wal-Mart. I ripped out the blue sheets and taped them together. I think it really makes the fish stand out. I have a ten gallon tank and all the store had for plastic backgrounds were really tacky.

Glad I'm not the only one who used something different.

I used old wall paper from '78 I found at an Estate sale I worked at. THis stuff is so awesomly horrible! I love it! It has metallic silver in it, and they're shaped like leaves....I will try to get a pic of it.

Wall paper and wrapping paper look awesome. the silver prism colored wrapping paper makes it look like theres a billion rainbows in your tank
