My betta "Tex", his stomach is really bloated, whats up with him? he's been like it for about 2 days.

is he constipated or ill??

Thanks

I had two bettas do this and lost them both. crap.gif I tried feeding them medicated food when they first got bloated but it didn't help. Good luck.

First: are you sure it isnt dropsy? If it is, there really isnt anything you can do about it.

If he seems bloated, try to not feed him for two or three days and see if that helps. He might be ok with it.

I agree. I would fast him for a couple of days, then try to feed him a bit of squished pea. Peas act as laxatives for bettas, just like goldfish.

Please keep us posted smile.gif

smile.gif Loz,Glad to hear that he's getting better.Be very careful at the amounts you feed him,& try to give him a varied diet.Betta belly's are only as big as their eye.Imagine a pellet swelling after it soaks up water....Then you see why they don't need much food. rolleyes.gif I swear after poor water quality, that's the #2 Killer. crap.gif
