I know this isn't goldfish related, but I'm hoping that you 'Fish Experts' can offer a word of advice, or at least a good site for information.

I recently moved my fishies into a nice, new, bigger tank. All the levels are fine (I've been monitoring it even closer now that the fish are in it).

But for the past few days, my two bala sharks have been acting odd. They're doing exactly what the two goldfish do in the spawning video... one of them chases the other around, bumping it.

So.... I'm not sure if they're getting frisky (in which case I'm definitly going to have to find out more info biggrin.gif ), or is it possible that the tank change is just making them act wierd?

Thanks for any help you guy can give..... biggrin.gif

Bala sharks havent as far i can find never spawned in home aquariums. With just having two you might be seeing some aggression between them. They should either be kept singly or in groups.
Out of interest how big are they and what size tank are they in? I think females would be more rounded while the male is thinner. They are mature at 6 inches if thats any help. smile.gif

They are about 2.5" long, both are of equal size/thickness, and are now in a 25 gal. aquarium. I've had them for several months now, and they've never shown aggression.... my albino moor actually thinks he's one of them! He swims around with them and eats with them rofl3.gif

Maybe it's the new tank... a new environment, so they're getting territorial while they 'scope' things out, perhaps? Since they're obviously not mature at only 2.5".
