You don't ever NEED an algae eater. A lot of people get algae eaters and find out their tank is still as green as before. Considering you already have 4 mollies and 8 snails I would not recommend getting anymore fish or snails. Especially not a pelco because they can get more than a foot long!

depends on which species of pleco.

If algae isn't a problem, I wouldn't get an algae eater for that sized tank. Even a bristlenose would find a 10 gallon kind of small. If you really wanted algae eaters, I would go for a few otos.
Do your snails eat algae? I find ramshorn snails to be great little algae eaters.

I thought snails needed 2 gallons of water each, the same as a guppy? on that i would say your tank is too overcrowded to get anything else.

I would say that personally,I would just stick with what I have,You have baby Ram'sHorns, and that should help with your algae problems. If you really feel the need for more help in the tank, then touchofsky is right .One or two Oto's would help do the trick. You'll find out that your Mollies will probably breed, and let me tell you, your snails definately will,so it's only a matter of time before your tank will be filled.

I got one of those pink catfish that eats the food off of the bottom becuase that it all i wanted the algae eater for is to eat and clean the bottom.
