I'm not sure but my platys has been acting weird.Sometimes,She'll see her reflection in the glass and hit her head on it tring to charge at it?Also,on her bottom she has a very small white thing sticking out.
--1---
That 1 would be her weird growth. It's smaller than that.Probably only a millimiter or 2 in lenth. krazy.gif
What is this??
Black oranda
What color is it? is it white and puffy looking? It might be
Fungus.Or does it look more like a parasite. Some livebreeders
could sometimes be alittle Deformed aswell.

I've never noticed it before. It's white and just looks like something is poking out of her belly.
I looked at her again and she was using the bathroom. He poop is coming from there but my other platy dosnt have it.
Thanks

smile.gif Hi Whirlwind. What size tank do you have, how long has it been running, what are the PH,Ammonia/Nitrite/Nitrate readings? How often are you doing water changes? What other fish do you have in there?
Whirlwind
10 gall with 2 platys and a guppy. It's been running 4 months I dont know the readings but Amonia is 0.I do them once a week.

Well, you are far from overstocked, but your ammonia readings are reading too high,so you may have to step up on the water changes. How much water do you change out weekly, and do you do gravel vac cleans also? How much food & what are you feeding? The small white thing, does it look like some kind of bump,or like a white string attached to your fish?
Raith
if its tumor, try pimafix for a couple of days.
sandy
if its thin and spindly coming from the butt then it could be a form of poo. usually thin and white means internal infection or maybe internal parasites.
Raith
pimafix curses all internal and external parasites. tongue.gif

Devs,the reading's 0 blink.gif
Well,It's not poop becasue it's not growing just there.
She seems to be doing better though.
