Hey!!! By the way it looks, some of my baby snails are "shedding" their shells and i was wondering if this is normal or not becuase my big tan shelled one does not do this. IT is only the baby snails. Does that mean that they are getting ready for their bigger shell and are becoming full grown? Thanks for any help that you guys may give.

Snails do not shed their shells, or change their shells.

most likely, if your snails are out of their shells, they have died, or been ripped out of their shells by a fish, maybe.

I know when I had tons of baby rams, If i trieed to pull them off the glass too hard, they would pop right outta their shells, and become food.

I agree. Snails arent supposed to come out of their shells. Could it possibly water quality? Maybe the goldies tried to eat them and pulled them out of their shells?

Empty shells mean dead snails...snails' shells grow with the snail.

A torn columellar muscle will cause the snail to leave its shell, nothing else. If a snail "walks out of its shell" and is still alive, it either got pulled out by a fish or tore the muscle on it's own (some are genetically predisposed to that it seems). Snails cannot survive under those circumstances and usually die quickly. Some hang on for a week, but it's a pretty grizzly thing to watch
