can someone post pix or give links to pix of diff kinds of loaches??

I definately want one or 2...but not too sure what kind yet....

Is this for a goldfish tank?

possibly...Depends if the hermit crabs go....if htey do, then itll be just loaches...if not, theyll live with some fish....

Loaches go with different things, not all loaches will work with things hun. hermit crabs dont really work with any of the loach family fish. since the Loaches are ground fish and so are the hermits.

Loaches Smack,Weather loaches are about the easiest. Kuhli & Horseface loaches are pretty cool too. I've had all of these at one time or another.

no no no, I mean, if I get rid of my LAND hermit crabs....I wasnt gonna put hermies together w/ loaches! Ill have that space for a tank, which I dont think Ill be allowed to get.....and htat tank would be only loaches. Thats basically out of the question, thouhg.

I looked through the links and still my favorite type of loach is hte Dojo Weeather Loach.....I think erika posted a pic once...I fell inlove with it.

anyhow, I also like the Kuhli loach, Albino Kuhil loach, Horsehead loach, sandy korean loach, peppered loach, and hte Dahli Ring loach.

would one of these be a better choice-i.e. easier keeper- then a Dojo Weather Loach??

I think its gonna have to live wiht the goldfish, is this compatable?

The weather Loach AKA Dojo will work just fine with a goldfish, the other loaches are all warm water fish and harder to take care of....i have had the clown loach and they prefer a group of 3 or more anything less than that they don't do well at all.

they like hiding spots in the tank, I think you said you have logs in there and that would do great.

Also make sure that your lid is tight, they will jump out of the tank and you will be surprised on the size of the hole they can jump out of.

Now, where doyou get them?? My LFS that alwasy has really odd stuff said they rarely come across them.....

I guess this means it'll be living with the big girls....Theirs is the only tank with a tight lid w/ no big holes around the filters...ugh...I hate finding dried out fish on the floor.....

and yup, I do have rocky/shell looking things that they can go under....I also have my eye on a little cave-type thing i seen @ petsmart.....Ijust think the hole in it is too small for the fish...theyll try to barge in and get stuck.....

Well I can get them at any fish store here but I have seen them at the Petsmart locations if you have one of those hun.....

I adore my dojos! They are real characters and lots of fun.
