Hi I keep 3 African Dwarf frogs with my goldfish and all live in harmony. In the UK it is spring and the frogs are getting frisky. Does anyone know much about mating patterns and how they spawn. I guess if I see any I will need to segregate it or the fish will eat. regards Paul

You should first of all, move the frogs into a 5 gallon tank to them
selfs or another tank (for them selfs) I don't know much about
ADF mating and how to take care of eggs ect ect.....

But first off you must move them it will be best for the goldfishs and the frogs.Heres a link to a great site for frogs/newts/salamanders.
They have a message board aswell you should check it out

Hi Black Oranda, why do youthink I should move them? They and the goldfish live together without problems. Regards paul

Goldfish can be come 8 to 12 inches, they may become a meal to your
fish, even if they are small. Also African dwarf frogs are bottom feeders, and have very poor eye sight, so nothing bigger than a 5 gallon, so they could find there food, and not starve to death. The goldfish probably do eat all the food, then its the stress .... having huge fish pick at you ect.
Then the space, another reason why i say a 5 gallon or lower is so you can keep an eye on them. Expecially since they just finished mating.
(also your female frog must be stressed out big time, when she lays
her eggs the goldies will eat them)
Just because its going well now, doesn't mean it will still be going well
from a month from now.Don't wait until one of your frogs get eaten
before you move them somewhere else.,
