Hey! i just wanted to share that we just got 3 new mollies for my ten gallon. One is all white, and one is all black, and one is silver and black!!! They look cool and they love the tropical flakes, i am going to try to feed them some goldfish flakes becuase i have thoose too becuase i had some goldfish and now they all died so we have a half full thing of the big thing of goldfish flakes.

I just wanted to brag and i had some questions on fast will they breed if they are not all the same sex and we have some females and some males? Will i have a lot of fry becuase i have like 5 plants and a bosi tree and a cave and a little spot where there is no gravel by the undergravel filter tube and the snail can go there. I want some babies so i can sell them and maybe give some to my neighbors or something!!! Will they breed fast? I hope they do becuase i have always wanted my fish to breed. Should i have posted this in the breeding section or this section becuase it is not goldfish breeding? I am not sure.

Hi,Congrats on your new fish! Female Mollies tend to be a little bigger than the males.They are also able to have babies every 4-6 weeks if they're in prime shape.Mollies tend to like a little salt in their tank.They do good in slightly brackish/slightly alkaline water. I went through stages with these guys where at times they lived through long periods,and other times they died rather quickly.I also went through the live Bearing Stages too, They can drop anywhere from 60 to 70 babies! It doesn't take long to get your tank filled up.I never had a problem with the parents eating them,but the swordtails & guppies would. Good luck!
