I think He may be blind, but I'm not sure.

He hasn't eaten for...3 days. he stoped eating after we gave a clown loach and a plecostamus(sp) to a friend (with a nicer tank) because the clown loach was eating the gold fish's fins.

I don't know if he's just depressed or if he has gone blind.

Please help. cry3.gif

Have you tried to hand feed him? Often fish that can't see well this helps them.
Is there other fish in there? What type of fish is he?
Having a little more info we can help you better.

I don't know exactly what species Goldfish he is. He has split fins, his eyes are normal, and he has a very large rib cage.

There are no other fish in the tank with him, Just a snail. The thing is that, he stopped eating when the other fish where taken away. I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

I will try hand feeding him though. I hope that works, he hasn't eaten in days... sad.gif

Have you checked the water quality lately? I am wondering if he is sick.

A fish that doesn't want to eat isn't good. Is he doing anything else unusual?

I tried han feeding him and he dodged my hand very well so I know he's not blind, and he ate one sinking tablet. He wouldn't eat a freeze dried shrimp though.

The ph was a bit low and I raised it up to 7.0 and I'll raise it to 7.5 later(The ph checker says that 7.5 is the ideal ph for gold fish) I don't want to raise it too much too fast. fishtank2.gif
