I just got some new plants and got about ten tiny snails with them. I finally found and caught one. It's so small! How do I take care of it? RIght now it's in a bowl, but it will crawl out. I'm afraid if I put it back in the fish will eat it or it will get totally lost. Wht do I do? 406.gif

I know there are some snail experts out there. Come on, I need some advice. What do I do with a tiny baby snail?! huh.gif

Awesome! I just found another one. They are both gold. So cute, but they have different shells.

I'm pretty sure one is a rams horn and the other is an apple snail. smile.gif

You could keep them in one spot by giving them some vegetable to chew on.

If there are lots of plants in the tank, the snails will most likely just chill there, where they will be safe from the fish.

If they are ramshorns, though, it wont really matter if one or two become goldie food...they are quite prolific, you wont have any shortage of them!

as for hte apple snail, since these guys get big and are just so loveable, Id baby him a bit if he were mine...

You can also place them in another tank all by themselves if you have an extra tank.

Yeah smile.gif. I don't have another tank, so I'm just keeping them in a dish of water, but they're really small so I don't think they mind. To be honest, I do care more about the apple snail, so yes, I'm babying it. How long will it take them to grow how big? I can't wait to see them all grown up! laugh.gif

if you have food, theyre most likely feasting, and will be big in no time! good luck! any pix??
