The temprature of my tank was getting out of hand. So I stuck in my super new 55 gal and turned it to 65 degrees (20 degrees celsius I believe?)is this ok? did I everything right?

newfish.gif oh by the way .......................I got a new panda butterfly! I'll be posting pics as soon as I get my hands on a digital camera crap.gif her name is "oreo" like it? but we call her precious.

What was the temp in the tank before you turned it on? I would watch it and make sure it doesn't climb too quickly too soon. About 2 degrees an hour is good.

If you place it on 72 and then leave it on it will only come on when the water is getting too cold and it will shut off when it is too hot or the right temperature.

How low does the temperature drop to without a heater?

I think how fast the temperature drops depends on where you have the tank located becuase i had mine infront of a window that the blinds do not open and the temperature droped like 2 degrees a day.

Hope this was some help!!!!!!!!!!!!
