WOW, I am so excited! I was a little dismayed at how small they are, but am pretty sure they are too big for the goldies to munch on. I got 25 MTS and assorted ramshorns. They are so pretty. Does anyone know how deep underwater is allright for them? Also, do I feed them the same stuff as I would an apple snail?

these guys dont care much about water quality...if they are the small pest ramshorns.....or depth for that matter...theyll happily lay eggs right at the top of the water or at the far deepest corner.
they pretty much eat algae...and algae wafers...mine love...fish flakes, etc...I dont think you really have to go outta your way as far as fresh veggies like for apples...those things are aquatic horses!!

Do they eat hair algae? That would be awesome if they did, I actually don't mind the algae growing on the sides, but the hair algae is just disgusting.

hair algae as in like, fine little whitish fuzz on the glass or hair algae as in long bright green fur. yes to the latter...the little algae, your best bet is a paper towel...just wipe it off when you clean your tank

The rams will eat vegies also, but things like carrots, broccoli and green beans have to be cooked first.
