Potatoes, peas, zucunni (sp?), brocoli, caluiflower. all i am sure can saftely be fed to fish (thanks to touchofsky) but raw? cooked? warmed? cold? what? also, i would like to know can gold fish be fed lettuce, carrots, or tomatoes? Im sure thier tiring of flakes. (dont worry, the waterfall in the power filter pushes it down, so no risk of float problems) are there any other house hold foods they will eat? bread crumbs, as i read in a book. i tried that and guess what? ohh, the water was lovely wacko.gif i wouldnt try it. lol. but, yeah, if you could help me, i'd be thuper happy. biggrin.gif thanks for your time!

Peas are wonderful, especially the frozen kind. Just thaw them and peel the skins off cut into bite size pieces and feed away.
Lettuce you can just put in there. They'll rip off what they want.
With brocoli and califlower I would cook them some so they are soft.
I don't think I have heard of tomatoes though, I would probably stay away from them.

Remember to remove any "leftovers" so it doesn't add waste to the water. I am sure your fish are gonna love you for their buffet. biggrin.gif

The stores should sell a veggie clip. This can help with lettuce. The peas and oranges will sink. I am assuming the other veggies as well. You are right you don't want them eating off the surface.

you could just rubberband the bigger veggies to a decoration or rock(fish safe) and drop them in....

the veggie clips are sold in every petstore ive ever been to they look like a clown fish with a giant suction cup in its tail smile.gif
