can u get gold fish to breed in fish tanks crap.gif

Yes you can. Often spring time is the best time of year. With the lengthening of daylight along with slightly warmer water can "get them in the mood". Make sure to be ready with another tank and all it's stuff 'cause once things happen you don't have long to get the fertilized eggs out of there.

Good luck. What type of gf are you trying to breed?

If you have other fish in the same tank as I have I found it easier to seperate the parents into a bare bottom tank with some home made spawning mops in as it was easier than trying to fish the eggs out of the community tank ( they stick to absolutely everything!) If they aren't ready you can heat the water up slowly and feed them up on high protien food and they will soon be ready. I have at least 150 fry now! When the eggs are laid you will need to take the water level down to about 6 inches as the water pressure is too much for the eggs. Hope this helps, GOOD LUCK
