biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif It's all going swimmingly well, had 150 + hatch last wednesday. They don't seem to be growing too much though, how big should they be now? Only lost 3 so far xxx. One because it was bent in half and swimming round in circles and 2 through natural causes, but that was about day 3 so haven't lost any in 4 days. I'm kinda panicking now, I thought i'd be down to about half by now and haven't got enough room for any more tanks ohmy.gif

Oh and I bought another tank the weekend to help out with the problem and ended up adopting some baby cichlids so still no better off rolleyes.gif

Oh for the love of my babies lol.

Well, Elge, that would be one of those many occassions where we run to Walmart panic stricken and have one of those emergeny buys of rubbermaids! rofl2.gif Wouldn't be the first time for me, and the good thing is, that the fry would have so much more surface area in a rubbermaid. Over time, just let in more and more water. Aaaand it holds the sponge filter, and any future hang on filters, just fine...thumbup.gif

They are in a 30" x 15" tank at present. How long can they stay in there for? And how big should they be now?
Ranchugirl
Well, mine are 4 days old now, and they are around 3 mm. A week old, I would say a bit bigger than that.
A 30x15? Sounds like a 29 gl to me? If you have the water around 6-8 inches deep and do daily vaccuum off of the bottom to clean up the garbage, topping the water off, then I would say a week or 10 days more sounds fine. Depending on how much and often you feed them of course. Do you test their water every day or two?

Mine are about 1cm now, with little glow light bellies! I haven't got a test kit at the mo, but haven't lost any in ages and am using salt so I guess all is well. Are you saying in 10 days time they will need to be seperated cos now I'm starting to panic! yikes.gif How many can I keep in that tank, I'm seriously low on space and am in a first floor flat and don't think the floor will take much more of a beating from fish tanks, (4 in living room, 1 in dining room, 1 in bedroom). Doing water changes every other day. And, oh my god there sems to be more chasing going on! AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH.
