Can fruit like tangerines, oranges, bananas and apple replace a normal meal? Or I should use them as a snack between meals?...
I've heard somewhere that I should feed my gf fruit, only under some circumstances. Not anytime... Is this true?

Yep, using fruit as only source of food doesn't contain all the nutrients that fish need to grow and thrieve. An occassional fruit treat however is something they very much enjoy. Somewhere around 1-2 times a week...

fruits shouldn't be fed as a food staple, because they are too high in sugar which goldfish can't process very well, and because fruits probably won't be able to provide enough protein, but fruits can be fed as an occasional snack because they provide a lot of healthy vitamins such as vitamin C.

actually you can make a balance gf diet if you're gonna do things fresh by variety, ask data guru on a GF's on nutritional info and what works she's pretty good when it comes to GFs diet.
things like salmon, kiwi, ghost shrimps, earthworms, and daphnia are a big hit.

Earthworms????!!!!?????
I never thought of that but it does make sense. Since our goldies are used to a controlled environment does anything need to be done to them first?

They need to be placed in a moist environment-paper towels
or lettuce for a couple days to purge all the dirt out. Make
sure the worms are from an area that doesn't have any
pesticides/fertilizers and such sprayed there.

I never use the pesticides, I use things more like....Praying Mantis's. Buy the egg clutches online.
But we do live in an area were there is still some farming, so I guess that using earthworms is out for my goldies.

You could try a bait shop for worms. And if you really wanted to, you
could set up a small worm house to raise them in.

A worm house!!!! Oh wouldn't my husband just love that one. He's pretty easy going when i become obesessed with my hobbies (last summer I turned our sun room into a butteryfly house.) But I think he may draw the line with raising earthworms, even if they are for my goldies!!!
I may try a couple of the bait shops though.
