HEy!!! I just lost my goldfish so i am going to go tropical!!! Can anybody give me the ratio for tropical guppies or neon tetas becuase i know that they can go together!!!!! Another thing that i would like to know is the list of supplies that i need for tropicals and if i need to add salt or anything like that, so all of you tropical experts, please give me some help!!!! Thanks a lot!!!!!

How big is the tank you are going to use? guppies prefer hard water and neons soft. Generally people go for one type or the other but it's down to what you like and people usually pick fish for the type of water they have. What is your ph ?
For small fish then a gallon per inch is the usual but as neons grow to around two inches then 2 gallon per fish is needed as the minimum and guppies need more. filtration needs to be good as well though not on the same level as goldies. Heating is also needed as they are tropical.
Salt is only needed for livebearers.

I am going to be using a 10 gallon and my science teacher has guppies and she does not have salt and the babies have survived and they have survived!!! I do not have a PH testing kit!!!!
