So here's the deal, I currently have goldfish, dojos, and mosquito fish. I want to add something else to possibly help with the algae and plecos, SAE's, or ottos are not an option. Are any of the following compatible with dojo's, goldfish, and mosquito fish: Amano Shrimp, Bumble Bee Shrimp, Pingi Logsucker, or Trapdoor Snails?

500 + gallon pond with about 15-20 goldfish (comets/commons), 4 dojos, and anywhere between 5 and 20 mosquito fish. I live in zone 8B of Southern Oregon in case you were wondering. I hope this helps.
I was under the impression that dojos were notorious snail eaters, are trapdoor snails able to defend against them or something?

I've heard storys.... but my loaches never bug any of my snails.
Maby to be safe you should get some apple snails?

Actually I've heard that apple snails eat plants while trapdoor snails don't, which is the main reason I considered trapdoor snails an option.

Well actually Not all apple snails eat plants, only the Cana type....
You could always get brigs

Are the brigs the ones that are most oftenly labeled "Apple Snails" at fish stores? I wouldn't trust a lfs employee to know. I guess I'll go check out applesnail.net, as I was told by someone else. Thanks for the help though.

My ramshown eats alot of the plants in the tank. As long as I feed him fresh veggies daily, he stears clear of them.

You should check out Applesnails.net, they should show you the diffrence.
At my local pet store the brigs they sell are always golden.
