Just wondering if anyone's gel food floats? The previous batch I made did not float, it sank which is what I prefer. I made a new batch last night and it floats. I changed the recipe a little by using salmon instead of tuna. Also, I did not add any type of gold fish crumbles as before. I really wish it didn't float.

The gel food ive bought at the store floats sometimes, but ive never made home-made gel food. Is it hard?

The time I made gel food, I poured it in ice cube trays to gel and later freeze. Well I found that the bubbles rose to the top of the cube. So when I would feed with it, the top of the cube would float and the bottom of the cube would sink. I also didn't want my food to float so I ended up just using the bottom half of my cubes.
Do you think your floating issue could be similar?

No, it's not hard to make. Very easy, there are lots of recipes on this board.
I don't know grubgal. I poured mine into a oblong baking dish and I cut into pieces. Last time I added some goldfish granules to my recipe, but I didn't this time. Maybe that's why it floats.

Very easy to make, like queenie said, and plus you can add foods from your own fridge.
