oh, confusingness! the only female i have will not breed! whoever she goes in with she flares at, then they flare back at her and they both swim in opposite directions. a while later she will go over to them with her head down and as soon as the male moves in she swims for her life again! whats going on?? all the signs are right: bubble nest, big belly, verticle bars, white dot thingy so what am i doing wrong? are they getting distracted by the algea because they always seem to be eating it when theyre meant to be breeding. im losing the will to live with this breeding program! Hun,you have been trying to breed those guys from day one.Apparently, something's not right for them. I know you don't want to hear this, but I would just let it alone for a while. That must be causing a lot of stress on them-which probably isn't helping..Maybe give ity a rest-let them settle in more,& try again in a few weeks or so? sad.gif Sorry if I'm not helping ..... bighug.gif

Are you keeping them in the same tank, but with the female separated from the male for a few days prior to releasing them in together?
