Ok, this time my other female platy died was not due to age OR water conditions, it was a stupid idiotic mistake I made. Behind the suction cups the filter uses to attach it self to the tank, only one fish was big ans small enough to fit in there and that was dory. She got herself stuck in there and I saw a white line and it turned out to be her
I moved the filter and it was too late... she was dead I covered the area up with a stocking now. Calico male is fine. The babies are fine. After my water change today, im doing a gravel vac and removing all those nasty snails that were trying to eat her after she died.
This has been a terrible week. im now checking my tank for annyother areas that may cause problems.

Im feeling much better now.
Im going to put the snails in a fishbowl, I really dont mind them, Its just my mom gets a bit freaked out whe they get bigger.

something similar happend to one of my dads tropicals, it was missing for a few days and then it was found dead under a piece of driftwood, it must have got stuck some how
