how do i tell if my fish is a boy or girl

I found that out when the males started to chase the female! But I suspected she was a female because of her rounded belly! My males sometimes get breeding stars on their gills to.

I found out that one of my fish is a male becuase he started to chase the other three females!!! IS there any other way to tell by size or something? Do most PET store workers know how to tell or will they give you a response like i do not know, and then we think why are you working here!!
