What kind of veggies can I feed my ramshorn snail? I bought a veggie clip not too long ago, and at the time I put sme lettuce on it, and my goldies devoward it, but the ramshorn didnt go near it. Any ideas????

I give mine green beans, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, broccoli and Orange slices.

Mind you the green beans, broccoli & carrots need to be zapped in the micro for a few minutes. (I use frozen) covered with water about 5-10 min.

The goldies will love that also though, so I generally tuck tidbits behind the plants and such for them to get too! biggrin.gif

Thanks!

Do you think if I just ancored a piece of veggie right next to were ever he is at at the moment? I did that last night with an algea disk, and he munched that thing into pieces before the goldies could even figure out it was in there! Goldies are such piggies. I'll go out tonight and buy some frozen veggies for my little guy.

Thanks again!

I made a sticky with a list of foods that snails like, you might try looking there as well.

If you have a larger tank, I'd anchor it to around the area where he is, or even pick him up and move him onto the food. If the tank is smaller however, he could find it on his own.

Its a 55 gallon, so I doubt he would find it on his own. Goldies would get to it before he ever found it.

Thanks a bunch! biggrin.gif
