right now i am using Tetra ColorFin sinking granules. i switched to sinking granules from flakes a while back, because i read on here that rounder gf can get sbd or make it worse with flakes. well the kind i have now i bought at nooppee out of desperation to help my fish with chronic sbd. but know i am out and wondering what kind to get. i want to stick with sinking food because that helped my fish very well. anyone use anything good.

oh, i also have a black moore and since i started using the flakes i noticed him looking more goldish on his underbelly. the food says it promotes golden and reddish tones. i think this is why

For an excellentsinkingpellet, try PrGold from Rick atGoldFish Connection

I reccommend his Spriliana flakes , ProGold and Salad Supreme for the goldies. It is exellent food.

To help avoid SBD, it is important to feed a fair amount of green veggies - fresh are great, or put into a gel food. There are several recipes for gel food on this site - but what it ammounts to is blending up veggies and other ingredients into a slurry that is suspended in a geletin - unflavored geletin.

I add peas, beans, ProGold, hikarri pellets, spinach, dandelion, cantelope, strawberries, tuna, krill, etc. etc. etc. It is basically clean out the veggie drawer food - making sure it is heavy on the greens. This food will help combat constipation and the SBD that follows.

B) I use Professional Spirulina Sinking Pellets by Ginger Aquatic Foods. It'a very good and loaded with vitamins. My favorite aquarium store Aquarium Center in N.J. turned me on to this food. They feed it to all of their goldies and some tropicals. It sinks so you don't have to worry about SBD (swim bladder disorder). They also make Brine shrimp sinking pellets, but I have yet to try it. Along with the spirulina pellets I also feed them TeraExotic sinking mini sticks and frozen bloodworms (for Sunday dinner lol.GIF ). Hope this gives you some ideas.
