That is weird. I had the ickiest moss balls - full of ants and half dead. But they are thriving - they are over 3 inches in diameter now. The one that I cut tons of dead matter from is now round and happy. (2 large balls and 4 baby balls)
One that I did not roll much, spawned "babies" and these are now the size of grapes - there are four grape sized balls rolling around in my guppie tank.
The moss ball that I put in a goldfish tank was torn apart in a frenzied game of soccer and disappeared into the filter. But the guppy tanks are ideal for them - they thrive and grow. They are very very green!
So now you tell me!!!!!! I put all mine in the goldie tank. I was down to one 3/4 of a ball.It actually seemed to be doing better. The goldies were pretty much leaving it alone. So I got comfortable,I felt okay leaving it.And then one day I walk past, and see Luna my chubby litttle Luna with the last part of the moss ball hanging out of her mouth. It was so funny, because when she saw me,she almost looked like the cartoon cats that eat the canary, and get busted when they cough and a feather pops pout of their mouth!

Hey Daryl,if you keep getting little baby balls, can you sell me a few?

Now I have a guppy tank!
