Hey!!! I might be geting a brand new 10 gallon tank!!! How many orandas can i put in there beucase i would like them to breed!!!! Can these go with bettas or guppy becuase i was thinking about getting one betta and some guppy becuase i would like to have different types of fish!!! So if any body has a list of tank buddies for goldfish, which is a list of what type of fish can goldfish go with that would be great!!! Thanks again for all of your help!!!!

10 gallons tank barely fits an oranda. You can keep only one max in 10 G. Orandas grow very fast and need at least 15 gallons per fish. If you want to raise them to their full potential, I suggest you to get the biggest tank you can afford. Ideally, goldfish should not be kept with the other kind of fish because of the different required temperature , type of foods, etc. (it's OK to mix ranchu with oranda but not with common or shubunkin). Breeding is fun though lol.GIF

Okay!!! Today when my mom got home from work she talked about getting a 20 gallon or maybe even a 55 gallon!!!! This was a big help!!!!

Today i went to Wal* Mart and got a 10 gallon aqaurium set that comes with a net, food, water treatment, heater, light, hood, filter, and therometer, and book, and many other things for 50.00. If anyone has an old 10 gallon stand that they would liek to get rid of that would be great!!!

Goodluck on your fish and remeber to cycle your tank at least 2 weeks before adding new fish smile.gif

Oops!!!! I placed the water in and got the filter working ans then put the water dechlorifier? in and then waited about an hour and placed my 2 common goldifsh in theere and they are still doing fine!!!
